Hey Ryan I have a 1691 fault code on my 2019 kenworth t680 I have a Cummins engine,I was driving the truck everything was good truck was as doing a regen while driving and I think I shut the truck off before the regen was complete and o got a check engine light and the code is giving me is a 1691 I don’t think dpf filter was replaced brand new 1 year ago so I don’t think is a bad filter what are your thoughts?

Mabey the did not want to replace the kingpin bushings so the just welded it to stop it from klunking

With that seal you don’t even need the driver those had hand install. I use the same seals

I would add, crusty old zip ties, galvanized turbo/CAC clamps, all of those look bright and shiny! water clamps and silicon hoses, CAC /turbo connector tubes for indent, turbo clamps for rotation.. if they are pointed down.. NO mech would install them like that lol. Hammer tap U-Bolts/Huck Bolts for breakage.. and top main coolant into therm housing! As you say, Watch for neglect in the small details and you can tell how much the truck was cared for!

Hi you doing very good videos. I got a little problem, with the A/C. I put a new A/C compressor with a new belt and air dryer. But, the A/C doesn't blow cold air when I am not running. But, as soon I start moving over 45 mph start blowing cold 🥶 air why is that.

What diagnose system are you using?

After my truck sits all night the fuel drains out of the Filter/fuel water separator. I have to refill it to get the truck to start. Any idea what causes this?

The sad reality is Jasper engines has a long standing reputation for low quality poorly assembled engines and transmissions. As a retired professional tech i would recommend never buying snything jasper produces and its really foolish to make decisions based on the lowest price. There are much better shops with outstanding quality and reputation.

I’m a new driver and I was looking to see how to add air to these tires. No one told me that they were auto fill tires. Nor did anyone tell me that that’s what that light was for. Thank you for the good info. It helped a lot.

I don't have loss of power. Truck runs stromg but my 2016 Volvo D13 is building up pressure and leaking coolant from the overflow when climbing a hill or mountain. As the temps go up it starts to leak. Didn't do this before. I'm suspecting the EGR cooler.

Im suspecting my EGR cooler is bad, but i only build pressure when climbing a mountain with a heavy load. Starts to dump coolant out of the overflow when the temps go up. When the fan comes on the pressure goes back down. I noticed once while doing a parked regen. Temp would go up, pressure would build, and coolant would come out of the overflow tube. Fan kicks on, temp goes back down, leaking stops until it repeats the process. Didn't do it before, just started happening this summer. Have a Volvo D13. What do you think? I’ve been suspecting that this is what’s going on with my apu too it comes on for a few minutes then turns right back off I’ve done swapped out alternators made sure it was the right volts cleaned all the grounds made sure there wasn’t any wires shorting out belts tight and I feel like I’ve done everything accept bust out the volt meter and check the wire harness I’ll check that first thing tomorrow morning and cross my fingers , these things are too damn tempermental

Interesting concept for less. What are your thoughts on mini type split ACs being installed in campers or Vans whereby they seem to be more efficient with their cycling of watts from 500-1000 watt output depending on consumers needs

A lot of the freightliners in the fleet I work on were “safe “ (90% of them) to the half million mile mark … By that I meant 90% of our trucks went close to 500,000 with little to moderate repairs. The occasional engine light usually a simple sensor (inlet or outlet NOx sometimes a pressure sensor )once ina while needed DPFS. Inspections tires brakes ocational wheel seal . Most one boxes on our fleet start shutting the bees around 550,000 on average We had one at 380,000 need one and another at 739,000 needing one

So these lithium batteries can be charged direct from alternator but lithium house banks need a DC to DC charger? Makes no sense. Both these batteries and the Lightning volt take a 100amp charge.
